There's also other things to take into consideration too, Fish, like soundmegs and zonemegs. Soundmegs are self-explanitory, but zonemegs are related to the textures in maps and therefore have to be taken into consideration when running a server.

Try these settings:

seta com_hunkmegs "512"
seta com_soundmegs "192"
seta com_zonemegs "128"

Please also make sure, in compatibility mode, that you run the game as Administrator.

Your hunkmeg allocation indicates how much memory you've allocated to the game for it to use, Fish. Client-side, in Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Wolf ET, the basic setting was 56 hunkmegs, but this is now way out of date. We all set our hunkmegs in our configs to 512 now.

I'm sure that Fretn, Nate, Sage or MAN-AT-ARMS will help you with your RtCW Coop server problem.

If you get no joy from any method you try, RTheren, then there's always the method we use in order to fix/install RtCW Coop installs for others and that is Teamviwer:

I had forgotten just how epic that Arkot Mappack looked, Killer. It's definitely a possible conversion for the near future.

Yep, I've played that map, bro. Who knows, maybe we'll add that great map to another RtCW Cooperative mission in the near future smile .

We have another 6 maps converted, we just need to fix one or two things with them and they'll be released too. Then we start on the massive task of converting awesome missions such as Timegate and Vendetta. If anyone wants to play our previous map conversions, Castle Wotan and Wolfkrieg Castle, you can download them from here:

Fretn and his Devteam run test servers, Killer, therefore, they wouldn't give Admin rights to others. If you need a server of your own, you can contact Schnoog over on Splatterladder, that's who we rent our RtCW Cooperative server from.

It costs around 6 euros per month, the server is very stable and the service is excellent too. Here's a link:

Ah, that's a pity. I hope you get your RtCW Coop problems sorted soon, amigo.

One of our friends was trying to join our server last night, RTheren, also using a laptop. He was getting constantly kicked, due to his resolution problems, so I made him a wolfconfig.coop.cfg. .

I opened the .cfg with notepad, searched for the words "width" or "height". This helped me to find the custom resolution settings in the .cfg and I set it manually to 1366 x 768. He then put that config I made him in his RTCWCoop folder in "Documents" and also in his "rtcwcoop-1.0.1-win-x64" folder, which he has in "downloads", he was then able to join our server.

The screen resolution we all use is 1280 x 1024, RTheren, we've never had any problems. The brightness is sometimes high, but we adjust that in our settings.

I was helping a player to install the game, just a few days ago, he complained that Coop changed his desktop settings. His screen had become very bright and his resolution had changed. He got the game to run, however.

Another thing we do, RTheren, is to make sure all copies of our wolfconfig.coop.cfg are exactly the same, just like we do in Wolf ET, so that the game doesn't have any conflicts when reading them.

Are you running the latest version of RtCW Coop, RTheren?

I've never heard of that bug, RTheren, but I'm sure Fretn or MAN-AT-ARMS will find a fix for you.

Good to know you're still working on new maps, bro. We've finished converting Brabant and Kriegsmarine Depot is nearly finished. We need to fix the skybox for the Hiddenwolf map we added to it because the original skybox and it's shader completely fooked up the interior of the submarine base.

Also, when fighting in the sewers, one of the original soldier flamer A.I. is glitched and we're sure it's him that's causing the map to crash when we frag in there.

You can see the screenshots in that thread we posted, m8:

The server is private just now, Killer, because we're testing new maps that we've converted to RtCW Coop. Once that's finished we'll help you all to join our server, you will need our custom .pk3 files in order to connect properly.

Like I said to Killer, Heimdall, we don't experience these bugs at all now, not for a long time. We run a custom server and we use flag spawns in the maps, everything runs smoothly now.

Forgot to mention, our server is hosted by Splatterladder, it's not a "from home" server. Here's the server details:

http://et.splatterladder.com/?mod=serve … idx=759270

I think it costs us around 6.50 Euros per month, the service is great too.

Jouhan, are you still working on this project, bro? We've made another 6 maps, we've just got a couple of things to fix before we release them.

Two of them are two-map missions, then we have two more single maps, which we may combine with others, we haven't decided yet.

Heimdall wrote:

........the server was ECGN 24/7 and it happened only at that time on that map.

Ah, I see, Heimdall, I thought Killer was hosting his own server. I noticed another bug on the same server, it's on "Escape 2", when you respawn in the castle basement you appear inside a door and you're trapped there. Even when you /kill you still respawn in the same place.

Very strange that you should get that bug, Killer, especially as you seem to have upgraded to RtCW Coop 1.0.1 . Pehaps one of the devteam know why you are experiencing this?
