Hello lads, I'd like to find the best way of recording our RtCW Coop frag sessions and then create videos with them. Right now the files save with the .roq file extension, which is a nightmare to convert.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Demo your self then you can either use fraps to record while you're reviewing the demo or do it the old way, extract images from demo and convert those images to video. 2nd method is much better in terms of quality and artists freedom but it's a painful task, since it uses near all computer resources as well it's painfully slow but like I said, you then can work with various methods and on various mods set 3rd view, rocket tracing etc.. 
on the beta version you have been testing you can convert your demos straight to an avi file
first play your demo, and then type /video <filename> in the console and an avi file will be created
