I remember the scene from the movie you're talking about, Cybdmn, the 13th Warrior is one of my all-time fave movies. Ironically, I frag with Masa almost every night on our WolfET server and I still can't understand a damn word the Viking says lol tongue .

Hi,

p.s.: If somebody needs server resources to host such a server, don`t hesitate to contact me.
The server which is running the SL forum is bored smile

Our Clan would love to have our own RTCW COOP server, Schnoog, the only problem is that all our finances right now are funding our WolfET server. Thanks for the kind offer.

When I run a home server I make it non-dedicated, $mart bro. We had it set to "nightmare" last and it ran great with 3 players, but when Masa joined us we had problems with crashes at the hectic parts of various maps. We'll just need to find some cash to buy our own RTCW COOP server big_smile .

We already created a master server tracking script tho it needs some fine tweaking so if he needs help with fine tuning his to show more COOP specific stuff (as it seems it grabs rtcw default data from socket) I can help.

I'll ask Schnoog over on Splatterladder, Nate and let you know what he says cool .

I just noticed there on Splatterladder that Schnoog has started tracking RTCW COOP servers, great news indeed cool .

Did our $mart have something to do with this wink ?

That's great work, Fretn, that will save a lot of "the door ain't open!" grief that we've been getting at times big_smile .

but its sometimes very demotivating to hear that some fixes just break 1000 other things smile

I can understand that, Fretn, albeit on a smaller scale. We run our own Wolfenstein Enemy Territory server, DOG$ter spent hours making a new custom soundpack, he installs it on the server and nothing works. The reason? He'd missed out a single ";" in the line of code. We have six 10-map campaigns and 3 of them simply disappeared one day, not even Splatterladder scans could detect 30 of the maps. The reason? There was a "5" in the fifth line of code instead of a "6". I then reset the server XP, a simple operation of editing the etpub xpsave config file, I do that, stop and restart the server, now the bots decide to stop talking, all the killing spree announcements totally disappear and I still don't know why the hell that happened mad .

The positive side to all of this is that we learn as we go and before too long our skills start to improve. It's obvious to us that you guys here at RTCW COOP are simply getting better all the time, so please don't let the negativity from some folk get you down, we're all in the "COOP Fanclub" here cool .

I never knew about that gametype, Fretn. Does the server Admin have to select that gametype or can we, as visiting players, do that?

yes other people also talk about broken sound, I might reverse these changes

scripts still need a lot of work, but its hard , very hard, every change results in other broken things sad

All your hard work is very much appreciated, Fretn. How you guys work our what code has to be deleted, fixed, replaced or repaired is simply amazing, as far as I'm concerned. The game still has some bugs, but the fact that you've got the gameplay to the excellent standard that you have already clearly shows that you guys are on the right track. Everyone who plays COOP loves it and it's only going to get better as the weeks and months pass cool .

Hey $mart bro, great to see you here, I knew you'd love this Mod too, it's epic. DOG$ter, Kariboe and Masahari all installed it last night and they love it too. We were up until 3am this morning fraggin' on the Boooze server, we chose that one because it's set on "easy level" so the guys could get a basic understanding of what the fraggin' is like. We'll probably try out the 555NIGHTMARE server next, it's set to "hard level" where the Axis forces can respawn and are far more deadly too.

We were in the "defiled church" level last night, $mart, what a crazy frag that was big_smile . We had about 20 of Helga von Bulow's Elite Guard to contend with and they were kicking our butts real good lol . I'm looking forward to seeing you there, bro, send me a message here or over on Splatterladder when you're good to go cool . I posted RTCW COOP info over on the DeviantArt website, there's a group of hardcore RTCW players from America there, who still frag on RTCW multi-player today. I gave them the links to the RTCW COOP website and to Splatterladder too, it will be interesting to see what they think of this great new Mod.

Speak to you soon, amigo hmm .

This happened to me twice last night, Fretn. I just shut down the game, restarted it and that fixed the problem for me. I was fraggin' on the 555NIGHTMARE server when it happened.

Hello RTCW COOP Crew smile. I started playing RTCW COOP just last night and I'm blown away with it, it's awesome work on your part. Yeah, it still has some bugs, but they in no way detract from the enjoyment of the game. Many thanks for what you have achieved so far and keep up the great work!
